As the Founder of OSMO Partners, Ian has worked in the investment management industry since 1998, focusing on middle office and operations within hedge funds. Ian was head of middle office at RAB Capital, with responsibility for more than twenty funds during a period of dynamic growth for the business. Ian also managed the integration of various acquired funds and led key technology projects whilst at RAB. Prior to founding OSMO Partners, Ian was a partner at LPR Consulting where he was instrumental in the launch and strategic oversight of new hedge funds, managed accounts and UCITS products. Ian’s experience as a portfolio manager means he is adept at running a fund and understands the challenges surrounding raising assets and meeting institutional due diligence requirements. Ian has a problem-solving approach which allows him to help clients achieve pragmatic and cost-effective operational solutions.

Neil founded LPR Consulting LLP which provides compliance, accounting, company secretarial and general business support to financial service firms. Now, following the merger of LPR and OSMO in Q4 2020, Neil heads up Finance & Compliance at OSMO Partners. Formerly Director of Compliance and Accounts at RAB Capital plc, Neil was responsible for compliance, management and statutory accounts and for managing new fund launches. During his time at RAB, Neil project managed more than 20 fund launches. In 2006 Neil was chosen by AIMA to be one of 15 experts advising the European Commission on hedge funds. Neil successfully trained as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and his roles since include a spell on a supervision team with the FCA.

Ian joined in 2016 as CTO. Ian is a buy-side specialist with extensive experience in technology, operations and the execution of listed products. Ian has held a number of key roles, including over 9 years as Chief Technology officer and Operations Manager at Odey Asset Management. Ian also spent a period of time with Bloomberg employed as an electronic trading specialist where he could work closely with over 150 Hedge Funds and Asset Managers providing consultative services on multi asset class execution and Transaction Cost Analysis. Ian holds the IMC qualification.

Richard manages the OSMO ‘Outsourced COO’ and ‘Consulting Team’ bringing over 20 years’ of experience in asset management and investment banking to the firm.

He was previously the COO at Eclectica Asset Management, a Global Macro investment manager with multiple strategies and fund structures. Prior to this, he worked at Brevan Howard in the COO trading team and has held a number of operational positions at various investment banks. Richard’s core skills are providing Outsourced COO / Consulting services and building out institutional level Investment Management infrastructure. He also advises clients on fund set-up and launch, portfolio management and risk systems, legal, finance and compliance.

Alka is OSMO’s COO and brings her vast experience, gained over 20 years in the asset management sector, focused mainly on hedge funds and private equity. Alka is also a core member of the Outsourced COO services team. Alka’s COO / CFO and senior operations roles at boutique and large global investment management firms put her in an excellent position to lead OSMO Partners through its next phase of growth and to support in delivering the Outsourced COO services. She has a successful track record of setting up and building out teams, operations, systems and infrastructure in a cost efficient, robust and scalable manner. Alka’s buy side expertise spans many investment strategies, asset classes, fund structures and jurisdictions. Alka is a qualified Chartered Accountant and trained with KPMG, London.
